Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is the branch of dentistry that focuses on improving the appearance of your smile. Our offering at Freda includes anything from at-home teeth whitening, to Invisalign treatments, veneers, and crowns. At Freda, we are specialized in cosmetic dentistry and enjoy helping you in any cosmetic case.

Teeth Whitening

As we age, our teeth naturally darken, and lifestyle plays a major role in how much discoloration shows on your teeth. Tea, coffee, red wine, and tobacco usually stains teeth the most. We offer both at-home treatments, and various whitening packages at the clinic using our BlancOne whitening device.

Teeth whitening at home

We offer comfortable home-whitening by customizing trays and letting you use the whitening at home at your convenience - typically, teeth-whitening is most comfortably done at night. A week's treatment is normally sufficient for a good result.

Teeth whitening at Freda: BlancOne

BlancOne is a comfortable method offering various treatments that gives different results: “Click”, which is the quickest, and cheapest, gives results in only 10 minutes! It can easily be added to your visit at the clinic. “Touch”, which is another BlancOne treatment, takes approximately 45 minutes, and gives a longer lasting result. Lastly, we recommend our patients with heavily stained teeth to try the “Ultra+” treatment – the results are long lasting, without looking unnatural, and the treatment takes approximately 60 minutes.

Orthodontic treatment using Invisalign

At Freda, we have extensive expertise in orthodontic treatment, with a special focus on Invisalign. We correct both simple crowding and irregularities in your dental arch, as well as manage complex malocclusions. Invisalign aligners are removable and made of transparent plastic, making them practical and discreet to use. Read more about Invisalign here.

Ceramic veneers

Ultra-thin veneers can change the appearance of your front teeth and make them look clean and even. The veneers cover the teeth facades and you can also correct small irregularities in the teeth and their internal position and make the entire front look brighter and more uniform.

Crowns

If a tooth is damaged to the point where it’s impossible to repair using standard, resin-based materials, we can do it with a crown. Crowns are made in collaboration with dental technicians and glued to the own tooth, or root. Previously crowns were made of gold, porcelain, or a combination. Today, they are almost exclusively made of strong and tooth-colored ceramics.

Bridges

A completely lost tooth can be replaced with an implant or a bridge solution. Here, we use ceramic materials in all visible parts of the construction.

Clenching or teeth-grinding

The only time your teeth should touch is when you’re eating. Some develop a habit of grinding their teeth when the mouth is empty, but as the teeth aren’t made for such hyperactivity, it leads to unnecessary wear, splits, and breaking – often in combination with increased sensitivity and pain. Not only the teeth suffer – the grinding can lead to headaches, stiffness in the neck and shoulders, and even sleeping problems. A person who is clenching their teeth while sleeping has a very light and unrelaxed sleep.

There are many reasons for teeth clenching: stress and genetics are said to be the most common.

To protect your teeth from wearing, we can make a splint. The acrylic splint is made individually for each patient. The splint guide reduces the hyperactivity of the teeth grinding, as the muscles are put in a passive mode. Sometimes it is also necessary to further balance the biting force by adjusting the surface of some teeth.
